4Kids Entertainment Home Video, in association with FUNimation Entertainment, will release special editions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 4 and Sonic X: Season 5, each in its own two-disc set, on September 12, 2006.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 4 includes 14 episodes. Bonus features include five never-before-seen TMNT shorts as well as animatic clips from key episodes.

Sonic X: Season 5 features 13 episodes. Bonus features include a Storyboard Slide Show featuring panels from each of the 13 episodes on the DVD.

This throws a real monkey wrench into the Episode Guide listing for the series - so expect it to change over the next few weeks or months. "Fast Forward" may stay listed as Season Five, if so, I'll add "The Lost Season - Ninja Tribunal" in between Season Four and Season Five. Or "Ninja Tribunal" may wind up being listed as Season Five if Comcast airs all 13 episodes of "Ninja Tribunal" before "Fast Forward" begins in September - even though folks without Comcast VOD (like me) can't see it - ack, this is giving me a headache! I also have to verify with Mirage and 4Kids how they want the two seasons officially labeled. The numbering I'm currently using will probably change to reflect the original intended airing order (or airing order, whatever the case may be). What a sticky wicket TV can be!

..IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING THE TMNT VOLUME FOUR COMIC BOOK: Unfortunately due to Peter Laird having to devote a tremendous amount of time to the TMNT movie project, we are forced to put the book on hiatus for eight months, which will give Peter time to complete his obligations to the film studio and afford him the opportunity to get the book back on schedule. "Tales of the TMNT" and the trade paperbacks collecting "Tales" will not be affected and will continue on their normal release schedule. The first collected book for "Tales" will be out in October. Here's the schedule for the collected Tales releases:

I knew Ubisoft picked up the gaming rights from Konami a while back. And it seems they are offering us something a bit more fresh than what the old boys at the big K are offering, but it looks equally cool as the green guys old games look.

While it's REALLY small, if you click here you can view a bit of a teaser of the game. It almost sounds somewhat free-romaing like Spider-man 2 which in itself borrows the free-style of Grand Theft Auto. Truly, the game looks amazing. If those are only X-Box 360 shots though, I am SO getting one!

".. I (finally!) recieved a reply from Ms. Kristin Moss, brand manager from Lions Gate Entertainment. She answered some questions for me, found below. Feel free to post this around (sorry for the caps and misspelled words; that's how she replied!) :





For the future dvd releases, will there be any extras available on them and if so, what could they include? Cast interviews? Toy documentaries? Bloopers?
NONE PLANNED, WE MAY BE DOING SOMEHTING SPECIL IN TH SPRING OF 2007 LIKE A GIFSET, SO HAVE BEEN SAVING ANY SPECIAL FEATURES FOR THAT RELEASE. WE ALWAYS TRY TO MAKE THE PACKAGING SPECIAL, FOR EXAMPLE THE NEXT RELEASE WILL HAVE 3-D LENTICULAR PACKAGING! IT LOOKS VERY COOL.




There were two stand alone episodes featuring the character from TMNT, Usagi Yojimbo, called "Space Usagi"- do you know if these will be also available on any future dvd releases?
THE EPISODES USAGI YOJIMBO AND USAGI COME HOME WILL BE ON VOLUME 5, DUE OUT THIS AUGUST (THE ONE WITH 3-d PACKAGING!)





The Japanese created two TMNT episodes in the mid 90s. Would there be any chance of the episodes being dubbed into English and possibly with the TMNT voice cast from the original cartoon?
NO CURRENT PLANS FOR THIS.





Is there any possibility of seeing more than one disc every 6 months? (Side note: I was informed by Fred Wolf Films that Volume 5 was in production.)
WE TRY TO RELEASE 3 A YEAR.




There have been numerous tracking errors in the mastering of the video used for the DVD release, plus tons of dirt specs. Can you explain to us how DVD mastering is done, and why some of these errors might get by unchecked? Is there a person watching the dubbing for quality control? (We are extremely glad the unedited masters are being used, no matter the quality!!)
I REALLY DON'T HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THE MASTERING OF THE DVD'S.




6) Is it possible we could recieve future updates from you or your department?

"TMNT Fast Forward" has a sneak peak premiere on July 29th in the USA on 4Kids TV. 4Kids will air three new episodes over three weeks beginning on the 29th. Those same three will then repeat starting on September 9th, which is our launch date for the new fall season.

..this is in regard to 'Fast Forward' ..the now 5th season of TMNT not the lost 'Ninja Tribunal' episodes. Those are still in development to DVD but..




Right now no new episodes are in development (Season 6). The ratings for the
show will have to improve for there to be another season after FF.




Playmates supports the show. Mirage and 4kids wanted to go ahead and keep on with production of the show. But with ratings slipping ..and profits not to Playmates liking, that and 4Kids/Mirage were not wanting to pay for the showby themselves ..this is where things are at right now.


Nothing is absolute. Keep in mind that 'TMNT 4 movie' is due next year and 'TMNT-FF' will still be on the air during this time. The movie's success may green-light a new 6th season or even a brand-new Third show. Ya never know !! But again.. for now ..it looks like the 5th season is it for the current TMNT show.. !! Oii !! More as it develops !!

The Smithsonian Museum of American History has a Mikey suit from Movie 3 on display, along with a couple of older Mirage books. I was at the Smithsonian a couple of months ago, and I looked at the catalog of exhibits. The exhibit that the TMNT gear is in was not listed as a limited-time exhibit.

Unfortunately, the entire American History Museum is now a limited-time exhibit. According to The Washington Times, the American History Museum will close after Labor Day and will not reopen until 2008. So for TMNT fans in, around, or passing through the DC area this summer, get to the American History Museum and check out the TMNT gear before the place closes. The exhibit's not going anywhere if the catalog I got a few months ago is to be believed.

..The Ninja Turtles has real intresting & diverse fan-base & can be a bit different than giant mega-properties like say 'Star Wars'. Mikey's TMNT is a labour of love and a real home-grown TMNT fan site created by Mike for his friends and all those who share his love for his favourite Half-shell heroes. Imperfect as it is ..Mikey's and !! terrible2z (M.T.M.N.T.'s sister site) are constant works in progress. The past several years we've also become quite an independent news source. While some people may pass this as fairly silly.. it takes alot of hard work and tricky scheduling to get even a round-up of the latest news n' ninja-gossip. Not only that it takes alot of digging and diggig. I'm always greatful for anything Turtle related fans and creators friends to the site are willing to share. Alas it's few and far between what is shared,but thems the breaks. It gets overwhelming.. Sometimes even tOkKa wants to pull the breaks all the way and quit updating and news-digging all together, drop it all like a bad habit. Welp...it's official...Insane In The Membrane didn't
get passed the FOX sensors:


TMNT cartoon series producer Lloyd Goldfine sent in
the following info regarding why the episode "Insane
in the Membrane" did not air on 4Kids TV in the USA
(it has aired in Australia and a few other countries):


"The final edited and mixed version of the notorious
'Insane in the Membrane' was deemed unsuitable for air
by Fox Broadcast Standards and Practices. Apparently,
in between the time the episode was written,
storyboarded, animated and edited (all stages approved
by Fox BS&P), and the time the show was mixed for air,
there was a change of personnel in the Fox BS&P
offices, and no one involved in the original approvals
was still employed at Fox. Upon seeing the episode,
they were said to be 'horrified' and that there was no
way they could air the episode. I'm not sure I
disagree with them - had there been BS&P comments
earlier in the process, we certainly would have
handled the show differently. But as it was approved
at every stage, we went full steam ahead. In the end,
I was told it was bad judgment on my part... so there
you have it.


I believe this episode will eventually be available,
but plans have not been finalized."

From what I've heard, the sets are only being released in Australia at this time because sales for the individual DVDs have been the strongest there. "I work at Toys R Us and had the chance to visit the Toys R Us Canada toy fair in Markham, ONT. I spoke with the fellows from Spinmaster/Playmates and asked them several questions that have been bugging me about the TMNT figure releases in Canada. Regarding the basic 5" figure assortment, Toys R Us Canada has only recieved figures from 2003/2004 (my search of various other stores over the last couple of years turned up the same assortment of figures). The Paleo Patrol line is due out at anytime now. We have gotten in some boxes of 2005 figures (General Blanque, Gen), which are still new for here. The only Paleo Patrol figure I've seen thus far in stores is the Dino Runner Triceratops w/ Raph. I asked about previous figures being re-released in the 'refreshed' packaging that the USA was treated to and they said that those figures would be on the way, too (so maybe we'll see some of the 2004-2005 figues we missed the first time). As far as the 'Fast Forward' figures go, they said our schedule will again fall behind the US schedule and we won't see them for a while. So some good news, some not so good news (if you're impatient like me!). Feel free to pass this info along to the other Canadian fans!"

..it's been more than dusty breezes n' tumble weeds on the lonely Turtle-news desert.. and more like a sandstorm.. a 'Lost Season' of TMNT has had tOkKie really mixed up as to what to report here.. but i think i may have the lo-down as to what's going on in this latest "Round-up" ..::


.. sorry ,tOkKaroos.. it's a pretty difficult time right now so updates have been sporatic.


The biggest story i've been following is the 'Ninja Tribunal' ..season finale from last week and what the heck is going on between this and next season.
I'll give you guys what i've learned in a butt-load. Hopefully tho' ..for those of you havn't been following this, been very confused, or just wanna follow along with me or whatever. Let's go.


To add to alot of my confusion ..Fox and 4Kids have been mixing up the original episode order on the standard 'TMNT' Saturday morning run. The season seemed not only short to me..but they skipped episodes leaving out key events in the continuity. For instance how Baxter lost the rest of his mech-body yet Bishop reconstructed him at the Area 51 during the big 'Donatello as a Monster (Gamera-Don)' 2 parter. This was also what ended up being the 100th and 101st episode. The Final episode of the season ended last week with the begining of the 'Ninja Tribunal' story arc that introduced a brand new set of heroes and villians and 'Shredders' into the 4-Kids/TMNT universe and it was the first part of a story arc that won't be shown on U.S. TV but will be shown overseas. It will show up on DVD in the U.S. (More on that later..)


.. according to messages and boards i've been reading the episode order of this season 4 episodes originally was to be as such..((thanks to Cyn ..for gathering this info,commentary and compiling..)) : :






Episode 79 - "Cousin Sid"-- I liked this because it starts up from their return to Earth, still injured and bandaged and in pain. Two careless comments about the burnt hair smell of poor Splinter, and a bad guy who got his nuts crunched in the process! AND we are introduced to Moody Leo!





Episode 80 - "The People’s Choice"-- one of the original "Tales", I really liked this-- Moody Leo barely talks-- I began to wonder if Michael S. had quit or something! Intergalactic cat fight, yee-Freakin'-HAWW!





Episode 81 - "Sons of the Silent Age"-- another of the original comic stories, and a lot of old time fans were disappointed, but I quite liked it's hopeful message, though I didn't care much for the writers' "views" on nuclear power.





Episode 82 - "Dragon’s Brew"-- the only 2 things interesting were that Hun had suddenly built the Dragons into an organization that could rip off Bishop and not incure his wrath! What the heck?-- and that Moody Leo could so easily be mistaken for Raph by Casey.





Episode 83 - "I, Monster"-- definitely one of my favorites-- it brought back the Slayer from season three and built on the Rat King's backstory-- creepy creepy-- and Moody Leo out Raph's Raph.





Episode 84 - "Grudge Match"-- another of my very favorites! Mikey gets a lesson in humility. Moody Leo is the only one willing to train him, to believe in him, and in the end it pays off!





Episode 85 - "Wing and a Prayer"-- too much backstory; more time should have been devoted to their learning to fly. That said, the fight scene was freakin' AWESOME!






Episode 86 - "Bad Day"-- possibly the best cartoon episode of any show in the world, and sadly the ONLY REAL SPLINTER ACTION all season! I really thought, though, that this would be followed up later in the series, but I was wrong. Powerful, powerful story-- and Moody Leo mouths off to Master S!






Episode 87 - "Aliens Among Us"-- Loved this one! Another favorite! Raph: "I like it when they go POP!" Moody Leo still manages to lead.






Episode 88 - "Dragons Rising"-- hmm, again, how the heck is Hun able to pull this stuff off and NO ONE, especially the government, seems able to FIND HIM let alone stop him???






Episode 89 - "Still Nobody"-- Mikey in drag, calling Don "My husband"-- and Nobody is back all too briefly. An interesting ending however; Karai has built a memorial library in dear old Dad's memory!






Episode 90 - "All Hallows Thieves"-- another of the original "Tales" and another of my favorites! Raph waxing nostalgic about Splinter taking them trick-or-treating as kids! Moody Leo not understanding why they had to stop for caramel apples!






Episode 91 - "Samurai Tourist"-- woohoo, Usagi and Gen tour the Big Apple, and Moody Leo almost opens up to his samauri friend about what he's been feeling. Another favorite!!





Episode 92 - "The Ancient One"-- except for the farting, this episode ROCKED the season, and it is my number one favorite of the year! The Ancient One is a great character! The voice actor made him even more so. I wish I knew who did it! "Poor dumb Kumquat..." LOVELOVELOVE this episode! And powerful! Leo nearly kills Splinter! By the end, no more Moody Leo! He learns many lessons in this one.






Episode 93 - "Scion of the Shredder"-- ACK! The poor Lair! The poor Turtles! Poor Master Splinter! They never explain HOW she finds them, but she does, and dang! A good episode, even though we know that they will escape, it's still very good.





Episode 94 - "Prodigal Son"-- Leo returns and rounds up the family. I really loved the part between Karai and him, but it wasn't long enough.






Episode 95 - "Outbreak"-- getting to the point were Don becomes GameraDon, and follows up on the stuff that washed into the sewers after "Aliens Among Us"-- NICE backstory on Bishop!





Episode 96 - "Trouble With Augie"-- didn't see it. This is the only episode I didn't see, and I didn't set my VCR correctly. No judgment.






Episode 97 - "Insane In The Membrane"-- the infamous LOST EPISODE! It contains much about Stockman and I suspect how the guys get a whole load of new toys, including the new "battle shell" ("Tortuga Brothers" moving co. since 1984). Hopefully this will make it to DVD.






Episode 98 - "Return of Savanti" Part 1-- another of the original "Tales".





Episode 99 - "Return of Savanti" Part 2-- both good episodes-- Renet returns, and Dinosaurs abound, and Savanti gets fried a good one!






Episode 100 - "A Tale of Master Yoshi"-- This was supposed to be the true 100th episode-- another of my favorites! Yoshi's backstory, as told by Leo to his family! A retelling of the Yoshi/ Teng Shen story, with a different person in the Saki part of the triangle-- and a foreshadowing of the last episode at the end!






Episode 101 - "Adventures In Turtle-Sitting"-- The long-awaited GameraDon! Fantastic story, though Splinter was so underused-- except by all of us fanfiction writers! I think at least five of us got out either a poem or a story based on this episode! AND it arcs with the next two episodes.





Episode 102 - "Good Genes" Part 1-- making a deal with Bishop, and who is that mysterious stranger??





Episode 103 - "Good Genes" Part 2-- a satisfying conclusion, though a rematch with Karai would be nice-- needed more emotion, however-- not a good sappy ending, but I did like how Bishop was duped. AND what is all this about "the REAL Shredder"?? Given how the new season is going to be called "Fast Forward", I guess we'll never find out.




Episode 104 - "The Ninja Tribunal"-- haven't seen as of this posting, but it looks good in preview.




..this was to round out the season.. but the contraversy really started with the announcment earlier this year of 'Fast Forward' ..the story arc which will inevitably be Season 5 of TMNT starting this fall.




The lost season which was supposed to take place just after 'Ninja Tribunal' is being touted as 'the real season 5' by a few..i was getting even more frightened i wouldn't ever get to see these eps at all 'til my pal Dierna -Raph Girl chimed in with ::..

"The good news is, "The Ninja Tribunal" story line
will be completed - the bad news is, it won't be
airing on television in the USA. 4Kids Home Video
plans to debut the entire "Ninja Tribunal" story arc
on DVD in early 2007. This action-packed adventure
will not be aired
on TV anywhere in the US by that time - so they will
be "straight-to-DVD" releases (at least in the United
States - at the moment we're not sure if they'll air
anywhere else in the world, but it seems unlikely).
We'll post more info about "The Ninja Tribunal" DVDs
on
the site as soon as we hear more news from 4Kids."




..while it's not the best news and for some not good enuff'..for an overwhelmed fan like me at least it means i can at least see the eps on disc at some point just short of downloading a torrent of the eps or summin'. haven't seen the scripts or synopses for either
season. As you may have surmised by now, the writers
are very secretive about their plans because they do

During a silent 'finja' chat on Tuesday ; March 29, 2006 in regards to the March 30, 2007 release of the TMNT's return to the silver screen. Chat comprised of the feature's director : Kevin Munroe (also representing Imagi Holdings,a rep from 4-Kids entertainment, Patrick Falso representing a marketing director from Warner Bros./Weinstein Co. and 5 Turtle fans (amidst the five : 'tOkKa'.. Marketing research analysts through electronic means had determined tOkKa to be the 1085th largest Turtle fan in the nation just short of thier independant '2000th fan' mark. One analyst stated :


The engine to carry this has been under speculation but it was deemed appropriate to reveal the teaser trailer to carry the turtles in the near future. Low-petrol prices in Hong Kong allow us this freedom. Literally: "All shell has broken loose." We are pleased to share this trailer.
