-->> ..once in a blue-moon, i'll get asked things regarding the latest TMNT news and gossip and questions why Mikey's TMNT isn't updated more often, questions regarding downloads, and even people confused as if Tokka may indeed be Mikey himself (( assure'ya.. i'm NOT ..)).

I try to explain this time and again the best i can.

As far as downloads, video, media or any other information about the Turtles that has slowly continued to grow since 1998 .. all questions and inquiries go to **Mikey himself. The boss & owner of this domain here and generally the main guy i gotta report to. If there is anything i can help him with.. he forwards me inquiries and we go from there.

But most in-site media and the like questions should go to him as i don't have any control over content that Mike himself puts on the site or what fans and media companies sumbit to him.

General TMNT questions or things regarding t2z - my own site, general TMNT news releases, gossip and the like ..i am always gladly to respond to your requests as quick as i can. **So get in touch with me and i'll help ya out with all my snapper might.

I 'Round-up the weeks News best i can .. as Mikey's schedule has ever increased in sporatric-ness, tOkKA's workload has also increased and become continuously unstable. That's why up to the minute TMNT updates aren't awlays possible at this time. But between Nick,Mikey,n' me ..and a very loose network of friends, contacts, fansites, and official ones ..we make it work.

Constantly on the lookout on forums, feeds, news blogs, official and unoffical sources.. creators, illustators, designers, and TMNT writers .. it ain' a secret that i'm pretty obsessive. So i put that to good use in gathering up all the bits of gossip all in one place. As time and energy allows. Been here since 2001 n' me and the Turtles show no signs of lettin' up as far as growth of the franchise. Be advised i'm doin' all i can to bring you the most imparative information you need to make the most outta your TMNT fetish and fun for the fandom.
..so that's where it's at. Hope i answered some questions.

..i'll have the Round-up ready shortly. Thanks for your patience with me over the years. I know i'm a schizo-snapper always bitin' off more than i can chew. But well ..sometimes i'm chewin' pizza WITH the Turtles instead of all their fat. See ya !!

I was on Amazon.com the other day searching for new Ninja Turtles DVDs and I found one. On September 18, 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 1 Part 2 will be released. It contains 14 episodes, which should complete Season 1. Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that:

- Matt sent in the following info:

Today I was checking Amazon UK and I've found a page that has Volume 1 of TMNT Fast Forward on DVD. It will be released on the 8th of October, 2007 at an Amazon Pre-Order Price of £9.74 and the RRP price is £12.99 so you save over £3.00 by pre-ordering the DVD.

The only bad news of this is that it's only one DVD and the image says "over 2 hours of action" and it also says that the whole length of the DVD is 132 minutes, which would indicate that only the first six episodes of TMNT Fast Forward will be available on this DVD, this would also indicate that the the whole Fast Forward season will be released in the UK on four seperate DVDs in four seperate DVD cases, unlike the USA versions which are availabe on four DVDs in two DVD cases.

Here is the Link to the DVD Pre-Order:

This week's big BIG news is, as it states on the 5th Turtle's Blog...

Straight from the horse's mouth:

"Welcome back to TMNT Volume 4!

"Well, not quite yet... but soon. Volume 4 is going to return this year, but in a slightly different form -- or forms, to be more precise. There will be an inexpensive -- or possibly free -- online form, as well as a more expensive limited edition collectible printed version.

"There are a few reasons for this new approach, mostly related to my work habits. For quite some time, before I took most of the last year off from doing the Vol. 4 comics, I had been getting more and more frustrated by what was required of me, with every issue, to meet the requirements of Diamond Comics, the major comics distributor. This included preparing solicitation material three months in advance for the "Diamond Previews" catalog, along with ads and such. For whatever reason, preparing these materials on this schedule, along with actually getting the book ready to go to the printer by a set deadline, was just really starting to get to me. (Don't get me wrong -- Diamond's system is a fine, reasonable, businesslike approach to distributing comics, and works very well. I just can't deal with it anymore.)

"I was also getting frustrated with the time lag between finishing the book and actually seeing it appear before the eyes of the fans, on comic store shelves. It would very often be up to four or five weeks from the time we sent the materials to our printer. Again, not uncommon and completely reasonable -- it takes time to print, bind, trim and ship a comic book.

"So, while I was on hiatus, I started thinking about it, and came up with a new scheme. It may turn out to be harebrained, or it might be really good... or maybe just okay. We'll see.

"Here's the plan:

"Digital Distribution: Each issue will be posted online at the ninjaturtles.com official TMNT website, within a few days (or maybe even hours) of being completed. Access to each issue will very likely be free to anyone with an internet connection and a decent browser, though I am looking into possibly charging a small fee... haven't figured that one out quite yet.

"(In addition, if feasible technically, I may try something new for TMNT -- a somewhat interactive online letters page. I'm not completely sure how or even if this will work, but I'm mulling it over.)

"Limited-Edition Printed Distribution: Each issue will also be printed in a 'collectible' limited edition, very likely somewhere between 1000 and 3000 copies. These will be available via mail order from Mirage, and will probably cost $10. each, shipping included. The first hundred books ordered per issue will have an original black and white TMNT head sketch drawn and signed by me on the inside front or back cover.

"These print versions will almost certainly not appear at the same time that the online version is posted, but probably several weeks later.

"I'm hoping that these changes will work, and will allow me to continue doing Volume 4 with the same sense of fun which has sustained the book from its inception in 2001 up until the beginning of my hiatus in June of 2006. I think it's worth a shot... and I hope you do too!"

-P.L.

And there you have it. While I think it's simply awesome and amazing that Peter is going this direction, not a lot of you seemed too pleased. But I digress, on with the news!

The 5th Turtle Blog also reports this:

Well, it's not exactly movie sequel news but perhaps it'll help...

This past Friday Mirage was informed that Warner Brothers is going to begin pushing/
publicizing the TMNT movie in the hopes of getting it nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Film of 2007. Again, this is not yet an official Oscar nomination but rather WB's saying that they're going to start up their hype machine in order to try to get TMNT nominated....

Hm. Amazing. I can't wait to see TMNT listed as a nominee this year. Here's hoping!

And last but not least, there is some special edition toy news somewhat, on the very same blog.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Here is some news that may interest you. In the UK there have been new releases of episodes from "Ninja Turtles - The Next Mutation":

A re-release of the first DVD with the "East meets West" story (episodes 1-5) came out on July 2, 2007:

But a more interesting release came out on July 16, 2007:

This is a package with three DVDs. The first is the same as "East Meets West" while the second is a re-release of the DVD with "Staff of Bu-ki", "Silver & Gold" and "Meet Dr. Quease" (episodes 6-8). The third contains "All In The Family", "Trusting Dr. Quease" and "Windfall" (episodes 9-11). As far as I know is it the first time the three later episodes have been released on DVD with the original English language (episodes 1-12 were previously released in the German language).
