".. I (finally!) recieved a reply from Ms. Kristin Moss, brand manager from Lions Gate Entertainment. She answered some questions for me, found below. Feel free to post this around (sorry for the caps and misspelled words; that's how she replied!) :





For the future dvd releases, will there be any extras available on them and if so, what could they include? Cast interviews? Toy documentaries? Bloopers?
NONE PLANNED, WE MAY BE DOING SOMEHTING SPECIL IN TH SPRING OF 2007 LIKE A GIFSET, SO HAVE BEEN SAVING ANY SPECIAL FEATURES FOR THAT RELEASE. WE ALWAYS TRY TO MAKE THE PACKAGING SPECIAL, FOR EXAMPLE THE NEXT RELEASE WILL HAVE 3-D LENTICULAR PACKAGING! IT LOOKS VERY COOL.




There were two stand alone episodes featuring the character from TMNT, Usagi Yojimbo, called "Space Usagi"- do you know if these will be also available on any future dvd releases?
THE EPISODES USAGI YOJIMBO AND USAGI COME HOME WILL BE ON VOLUME 5, DUE OUT THIS AUGUST (THE ONE WITH 3-d PACKAGING!)





The Japanese created two TMNT episodes in the mid 90s. Would there be any chance of the episodes being dubbed into English and possibly with the TMNT voice cast from the original cartoon?
NO CURRENT PLANS FOR THIS.





Is there any possibility of seeing more than one disc every 6 months? (Side note: I was informed by Fred Wolf Films that Volume 5 was in production.)
WE TRY TO RELEASE 3 A YEAR.




There have been numerous tracking errors in the mastering of the video used for the DVD release, plus tons of dirt specs. Can you explain to us how DVD mastering is done, and why some of these errors might get by unchecked? Is there a person watching the dubbing for quality control? (We are extremely glad the unedited masters are being used, no matter the quality!!)
I REALLY DON'T HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THE MASTERING OF THE DVD'S.




6) Is it possible we could recieve future updates from you or your department?

"TMNT Fast Forward" has a sneak peak premiere on July 29th in the USA on 4Kids TV. 4Kids will air three new episodes over three weeks beginning on the 29th. Those same three will then repeat starting on September 9th, which is our launch date for the new fall season.

..this is in regard to 'Fast Forward' ..the now 5th season of TMNT not the lost 'Ninja Tribunal' episodes. Those are still in development to DVD but..




Right now no new episodes are in development (Season 6). The ratings for the
show will have to improve for there to be another season after FF.




Playmates supports the show. Mirage and 4kids wanted to go ahead and keep on with production of the show. But with ratings slipping ..and profits not to Playmates liking, that and 4Kids/Mirage were not wanting to pay for the showby themselves ..this is where things are at right now.


Nothing is absolute. Keep in mind that 'TMNT 4 movie' is due next year and 'TMNT-FF' will still be on the air during this time. The movie's success may green-light a new 6th season or even a brand-new Third show. Ya never know !! But again.. for now ..it looks like the 5th season is it for the current TMNT show.. !! Oii !! More as it develops !!

The Smithsonian Museum of American History has a Mikey suit from Movie 3 on display, along with a couple of older Mirage books. I was at the Smithsonian a couple of months ago, and I looked at the catalog of exhibits. The exhibit that the TMNT gear is in was not listed as a limited-time exhibit.

Unfortunately, the entire American History Museum is now a limited-time exhibit. According to The Washington Times, the American History Museum will close after Labor Day and will not reopen until 2008. So for TMNT fans in, around, or passing through the DC area this summer, get to the American History Museum and check out the TMNT gear before the place closes. The exhibit's not going anywhere if the catalog I got a few months ago is to be believed.

..The Ninja Turtles has real intresting & diverse fan-base & can be a bit different than giant mega-properties like say 'Star Wars'. Mikey's TMNT is a labour of love and a real home-grown TMNT fan site created by Mike for his friends and all those who share his love for his favourite Half-shell heroes. Imperfect as it is ..Mikey's and !! terrible2z (M.T.M.N.T.'s sister site) are constant works in progress. The past several years we've also become quite an independent news source. While some people may pass this as fairly silly.. it takes alot of hard work and tricky scheduling to get even a round-up of the latest news n' ninja-gossip. Not only that it takes alot of digging and diggig. I'm always greatful for anything Turtle related fans and creators friends to the site are willing to share. Alas it's few and far between what is shared,but thems the breaks. It gets overwhelming.. Sometimes even tOkKa wants to pull the breaks all the way and quit updating and news-digging all together, drop it all like a bad habit. But as tOkKa's life has been increasingly more challenging ..the support and encouragement for me has increased as well. I just want to say thank you again to all of you and for all your kindness. You guys are what makes this site and at the heart of what makes tOkK want to continue to work ..and ya also make it alot of fun !! COWABUNGA !! Thanks again, everyone !! Luv ya !! ..>v<
