Howdy folks,


I've been getting tons of requests for images from the new show, so I'll be
taking artwork from the style guide and adding them to the Art Gallery ASAP.
..blah blah blah..yayayayaada..stuff t0kk already told you about..yayayaa..


We just got a shipment of the limited edition cold cast porcelain Leonardo
statue delivered - which hopefully means that those of you who ordered them
will be able to pick them up within the next two weeks. Playmates has told
us that they plan to release Michelangelo next, but no release date has been
given. We're hoping that it will come out this year - but only time will
tell.


We haven't gotten the ratings back yet on the new TMNT cartoon shown on Fox
Box, but judging by the flood of positive mail that we've received, it did
pretty well. Thank you all very much for the support! =O)


No firm release date has been set, but the action figures of April, Casey
and Hun should hit toy shelves sometime this spring or early summer. We've
gotten some preliminary pix of the sculpts in - if Playmates will give us
permission, I hope to post them in a few weeks (the dudes from Playmates are
busy right now focusing on Toy Fair in New York City). Casey comes with a
removable mask and April will be packaged with two Mousers. Hun is HUGE.


For those of you who haven't heard, pre-production work has begun for a 2
part, live action television mini-series featuring the TMNT. The show is
being produced by Hallmark and we're hoping for a 2004 release. Steve
Barron, director of the first TMNT movie, is on board as a creative
consultant.

The Mirage crew is heading to New York City on Thursday to attend the premiere of the new TMNT cartoon, which is gonna rock - but it doesn't leave me anytime for updates this week.
So - don't forget to check your local listings and watch the new Turtles cartoon on Saturday!
A new era in the TMNT history is dawning - awe yeah! .. ..

Ah well - Fireworks MX and Dreamweaver MX have defeated me.
After spending most of the past two weeks building the new frame set with rollover graphics and cool lil' pop-up menus,
I discovered today that the cool lil' pop-up menu feature in Fireworks doesn't work across a Frameset
(unless you do a lot of text editing inside the Javascript code in Dreamweaver, which I tried and utterly failed at.
I shoulda went to programming school instead of art school). This is quite aggravating considering that Fireworks has
the Target command you need for Framesets built right into the Pop-Up Menu utility, but it apparently ignores this
aspect of itself and prefers that you become a Java programmer to get it to work. GAH!!!

So it's back to the drawing board for the site's new design. A true drag, as I really wanted the new,
snazzy Frameset to be up this week to coincide with the release of the new series. :(

But enough of my worries - the good news is that the show finally airs this Saturday, so all's well. :)

See you next week - mebbe I'll get lucky and figure out how to edit that Java stuff by
then - or have something new cooked up. I could always abandon the idea of Frames and use
Tables (to get those cute but annoying lil' pop-up menus to work), but that would mean editing over
1,500 HTML documents - something I really, really wanna avoid.

Dribble For Kids has been updated everyone. I know, I bet you are all excited, shaking in your boots for the conclusion of.. THE BLACKOUT Storyline.

But first I wanna just give a little info on "the Blackout Storyline." and the way it was 'meant' to end.

You'll notice first off the artwork has returned to it's crappy origins. What can I say. You can't beat Nathan's work. He is too good. I hope you sent the boy some love for doing it. ;-)

Now onto the storyline...

Originally, there were around 7 ways I wanted to take the storyline, but instead I opted for the easy way out, which is the 8th way. So since Plans A-G have failed, Plan Preperation H was set in stone. And no, while there is no huge monkey, or ending where it breaks the 3rd wall again but as a movie set, nor... there is a large cat, or it's a video game inside a video game or any of that, but... I settled with the summation ending. So on the whole, I think Preperation H feels good.

On the whole.

Okay, so go read THIS WEEK'S STRIP. And by the way, could you go get me some chocolate cos Scotty Don't. Huh? Huh? Ladies and Gentlemen Scotty don't.

..this issue will also feature an alternate TMNT cover you will want to pick up..(i will prolly pick up the issue simply to wipe my
bunghole with that cover). After i was finished readin' the specs of the upcoming issue.. i tore out the page and continued to
wipe t0Kkticular bungholes with said page.


Also..in case you missed out the first time..look for 2nd printings of 'TMNT' Vol.4 # 1 & # 2 from 'Mirage'..(wiping optional there).

I had written a fan-fic novella a while back and I completed the novella and here it is, in all it's glory.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Clan of the Turtle The first half is featured here on Mike's site, the other half is on my site. I haven't worked up an actual set-up of a menu on the chapter pages on my site, but... that'll eventually happen. Make sure to keep your back button ready to go! LOL.

The novella takes place after the events in Ish 23 of Image Comics...
Does Raph rejoin the Foot? Why Did Donatello Run Away from home? How does Leo get his hand back? How does our beloved Michaelangel get 'maimed'?!!? Why is the FBI looking into April O'Neil's past? And more importantly... who is THE LADY SHREDDER?!?!

Howdy gang! Well, we've been getting a ton of questions regarding the release of the TMNT toys. It seems that several web sites are already taking orders for the new Turtle action figures and that they might be shipping before Christmas (rather than in January, as was originally reported - d'oh!).

Mirage chief Gary Richardson contacted the dudes from Playmates and they told us:

"Goods will start hitting retail shelves in the second half of December, with different items hitting at different dates, due to availability. We are not releasing a general schedule."

So that's the scoop straight from the horse's (turtle's?) mouth... it seems like some stuff will be out in time for the Holidays, but the where and when of it is decidedly undecided. Call your local retailers if you're keenly interested in these, as ya never know when they might show up (or how long they may last!)
