TMNT (The Original Series) DVD Volume 6 cover Roughs from Lion's Gate [[ Courtesy of Steve Murphy ]] ..

"Working from home today so that current pic of the Mirage building will have to wait until Monday. Meanwhile, check out this Season 6 DVD cover art rough from Lion's Gate. The rough was submitted to Mirage in a new spirit of cooperation, and was offered to Ryan Brown to complete in the true retro style. Unfortunately however, Ryan is unable to take on the project, and now LG will assign artists of its own."

"We've got a hot scoop for fans of the '80s edition of the Turtles! Our friends "in the biz" - who spoke on condition of anonymity - tell us that Lionsgate is preparing to announce the DVD release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Season 6 soon. They've spilt the beans (or is that pepperonis?) to us early, though, and tell us that this will be a 2-disc set with 16 episodes of the animated classic.

Cover art isn't available yet, but the plans are to make this new package reflect the "comic-book roots of the franchise"! Cost will be just $19.98, a new low for a TMNT season set from Lionsgate. When will you be able to buy this goodness? Is April 8th soon enough for you? Heh..."April"; we bet Ms. O'Neil would be honored! Stay tuned and we'll keep you updated, including pics of the box (and extras, if any) just as soon as we can get 'em."

..and more from Danny B. and J. the official site.. ::

"TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted that an inside-source has told them of Lionsgate's plans for TMNT Classic Season 6 on DVD. It's not an official announcement, but it's cause for alarm in as much as they indicate their plan to leave out "ONCE UPON A TIME MACHINE" yet again, and skip over the double-length, prime-time special, "PLANET OF THE TURTLEOIDS", which is sequelized in Season 6's "RETURN TO THE PLANET OF THE TURTLEOIDS".

If anyone wishes to protest this decision on the part of Lionsgate, please direct your concerns to:
