Howdy folks!
I'm back from vacation and Mirage C.E.O. Gary Richardson is back from the New York Licensing Show... so there's a bit o' news to tell.
First off, we've hit a snag with printing TMNT #4 - we hope that it will be out on June 26, but there's a chance we'll miss that by a week. Argh!
On to the news!
First off, the limited edition cold-cast porcelain TMNT statues are definitely going to be produced by Playmates Toys! I'll have some pix of the initial sculpture up on the site this week. Turtle Guru Peter Laird has already posted some on his "Blast from the Past" page if you wanna see 'em now:

Leonardo will be the first of four pieces. As I noted last time, each statue will be on a base and each base will interconnect to form one big diorama.
The statues will be painted. Playmates plans to take orders for the statues at this year's San Diego Comic Con ( http://www.comic-con.org ) at Diamond Comic Distributors' booth through Diamond Select. The price range will be in the $100-150 range. Currently we're still discussing the edition number, but it's definitely planned to be a very limited release. The second figure (no decision on who it'll be yet), will be out around Christmas of 2003.
The Licensing Show itself went extremely well and the Turtles were the hit of the week! Gary and 4Kids spoke with tons of old school licensees who are lining up to get involved with TMNT 2K3! Expect to see a bit of nifty new Turtles merch in the first quarter of 2003 to coincide with the release of the new show and action figure line.. and then a flood of Turtly goodness should be available by Christmas of 2K3!
Unfortunately the video game contracts haven't been fully worked out yet, but we hope to have the scoop on the new games next month. We know - the wait is killin' us, too! =O)

We're very excited about 4Kids' devotion to make the new TMNT cartoon the best ever - and from what we've seen so far, we're confident this will be the case! Whether you're an old school comics fan, original Turtle toon fan, or brand new to the TMNT altogether, this show will have something for you to dig! The animation studio that has been signed up has worked on the "Men in Black" and "Jackie Chan" toons (to name but two), so ya know that the animation will be some of the best to be seen on Saturday morning television!
Characters that will be appearing: the four original Turtles, Master Splinter, Aril, Casey Jones, The Shredder, The Foot and Baxter Stockman - sure, there's more - but some stuff has to be a surprise. =O)

Here are quite a few updates in the TMNT world. I meant to post this a few days ago, but blogger was down so I didn't get around to doing it until today:
Mirage C.E.O. Gary Richardson just got back from a frantic but exciting week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo and had some news for us!
We expect to announce the software company that will be producing the new TMNT video games sometime around June 10-14. Development time for a game on the new platforms (PS2, Gamecube, X-Box) is currently around 18 months - so the game won't be out for quite some time. It's possible that a game for Gameboy will come out before that 18 month cycle - but it's not a sure bet by any means. We'll have more definitive info on publisher and platforms in a few weeks!
In toy news, there's a possibility that some extremely limited edition cold cast statues of the TMNT will be released over the next year (in editions of roughly 500-1,000). The plan is to take the image from TMNT volume 1 #1 page 1 of the Turtles and make each into an individual statue with a base - the bases will interconnect to form a diorama.

The tentative plan is for the first statue to come out at the Comic-Con in San Diego this summer, the second is to be released around the winter Holidays, the third to appear around the time that the new cartoon debuts, and the fourth to arrive at next year's San Diego Comic-Con. These statues may be done as serious and expensive collectibles - so the retail price will be roughly $99.00 per figure. Yowza! It's not a definite plan yet - but it's something that's on the drawing board.

In the words of the illustrious Partners in Kryme, "Gimme a quarter. I need a reporter. " The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming to DVD with the re-release of the first film and releases of the second and third films from New Line Home Entertainment this September.
The simple tale of the ninja turtles is a tale as old as time. Turtles are exposed to radioactive ooze and turn into crime-fighting ninjas. Throughout three movies Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael fight Shredder and other baddies to save the world for pizza eating folks like you and me.
All three films will be shown in both anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen and will contain trailers and filmographies.
All three titles will thrash onto DVD on September 3rd, and will be priced at $14.95 each.

Kevin Eastman is also releasing a hardcover sketchbook of his TMNT works. Kevin will be selling the book at the Heavy Metal booth at San Diego Comic Con International. Fellow artists and collaborators Simon Bisley and Luis Royo will also be there.

Well for all those wondering, I did update, but... I had to vent abit on my thoughts on Episode 2, Attack of the Clones. May this be a good point for Hollywood and Rainbow Studios, John Woo, etc, that all any film needs, even a bad film... is heart.
Anyway, enjoy... and please don't you all kill me right away.

I just wanted to let you know that last night I added 10 desktop wallpapers.. each are available in 2 sizes (1024x768 and 800x600). I also added an RGB color guide for each one...
You know how every time you change your dektop, the background color that shows on the icons never matches the wallpaper? Well, if you want it to match, go to "Appearance" on your desktop properties, and select the Background color. Choose to create a custom color.
This will give you the windows system pallette where you can add your own color. Just input the RGB values I've supplied for each wallpaper, and you your background should blend pretty well with the wallpaper.

Hey there, everyone...
Well, I'd just like to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Or if you don't celebrate Easter, I hope your Passover was delightful... And if you celebrate neither of these, then I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
In any case, there are a couple of minor updates to the site.
First off, you may notice that there are some new character profile pics on some pages. Right now, I've completed Casey Jones, April O'Neil, Donatello, and Michaelangelo... On my computer, it's taken quite a while to fix up those pics. And hopefully they load fast (I'm on a 24.6 kpbs connection and they loaded pretty fast).

I did the same thing for half of the Mutanimals profiles.

Finally, I've added a new webcam pic. Just a little something for the holiday... very boring actually... But it features my "Last Supper" picture that I bought in Mexico last week. Me like!
