The Mighty
Mutanimals were the greatest invention of creators Stephen Murphy
and Ryan Brown. Based on their characters and those of other artists
such as Dean Clarrain and Steve Lavigne, the Mutanimals were a team
who embarked on far too few yet outrageous adventures.
With the exception of
the character Leatherhead, each member of the team had its origin
in the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures -- an Archie
Publication. And while each character's rights may also be owned
by someone else, Stephen Murphy and Ryan Brown had the idea to team
up these environmentalist do-gooders.
I am here to give you
the low down on this group of seven misfit mutants, who are out
to protect the world from the worst kind of evil... those who threaten
our ecology.

The Mighty Mutanimals set out on their
own adventures...
The only thing Mightier than the Mutanimals was
the shortness of this series. Although none of us wanted to see
the series go, after nine issues with dangerously low sales and
no animated series to spark public interest or awareness, the
Mighty Mutanimals were put in a backup spot at the end of several
TMNTA comics. Ultimately, they were done away with completely.
