Those of you who have followed my blogs for awhile are probably aware on my fondness for cakes! The ones that are more fun to look at then to eat!

Anyway, over at Stan Sakai’s blog, Stan talks about a museum presentation he did recently. And you know what they gave him?! THAT’S RIGHT! A CAKE!

Isaac Elliott-Fisher of  Turtle Doc - ::   Return from LA the Turtle Doc Continues

So we are back from LA still with lots more to shoot on our massive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles documentary!

Our stay was amazing, we shot some amazing stuff that no matter how passive a fan you may be you can still appreciate! You can see a few photos I uploaded from this leg on our journey, as well as the on going blog saga over on **www.turtledoc.com Where Randy Lobb tells the story of our LA trip.

Some of the highlights from the shoot were: re-uniting the original voice cast from the old show (for the first time in like 15 years), interviewing and spending time with Kevin Eastman the co-creator of Turtles and the current owner of Heavy Metal Magazine, interviewing Brian Henson and Mr. Sisti (actor inside the Mikey suit in the movie) over at Henson Studios, and so much more!!

Thanks all!!

Comic & “TALES-” writer,Ross May on TMNT 25 Blog **

**Ross :: There’s a guest posting by me at the Ninja Turtles’ 25th Anniversary blog:
www.tmnt25.com or ***directly here

That’s a cute picture of me as a kid, but apart from me mentioning seeing the first movie as a child it doesn’t really fit with the article at all. It’s a fun little piece that’s supposed to introduce the fact that there are multiple continuities in the TMNT, so it’s really for kids who are just familiar with the new cartoon show.

My favourite continuity? Of course I was introduced to the cartoon show first, so it has a special place in my heart. The Mirage comics are awesome (”Return to New York” is my fav turtle story) and have a fantastic origin that’s better than all the other versions. Even the movie version, essentially the same, loses a little Shakespearian touch from the abscence of Oroku Nagi. I was so taken with Nagi’s character that you can see why I wanted to write “A Ghost Story.”

T.Jones interview on ComicCon **

Jen Contino :Tristan Jones grew up in Australia and, as a kid, it was almost mandatory to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. Little did he dream when he was playing with action figures or watching the cartoons that one day he’d get the chance to pen his own adventures of these iconic superstars. Jones has written a handful of issues of the Mirage Studios’ Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series and is going to shed some light on a favorite supporting player in their universe, Casey Jones.

Nacho’s “Fernando León Gonzalez” interview { English v. }

"GID'along leetle Sharky" by Fernando León González [[ Courtsy of Ryan Brown ]]
Interview (in spanish) here:

Cheers!
Nacho.

{ Here’s the rough English translation of the interview !! }  ::

You are here! The interview with the talented Fernando Gonzalez Leon!

Tell us about yourself, where are you? What is your profession?

I’m from Córdoba, a Mediterranean province of Argentina. My profession is a comic illustrator.

What inspired you to be an illustrator-comic?

The inspiration is drawn from me as long on their own, my parents were more connected with the music to the visual arts.

I remember very small illustrations to make one scene and be counting on it a whole history, ie in the same box you could see a bank robbed, the thieves escaped and pursued them to the superhero, I figure that was germinating in my desire to have drawings, of wanting to be comic.

What is drawing and Banda Banda drawn Córdoba?

Banda drawn is a cultural movement created in Buenos Aires by Cesar da Col (a popular cartoonist) composed of people linked to the comic whose purpose is to promote reading and editing stories.

Banda drawn Córdoba is the team that I am happy in my province to coordinate with people who are related to the topic.

The first thing I learned from you was through a counter-illustration for the cover of a comic Tales. Did you or do other work for the Mirage?

I have done several jobs for Mirage, pin ups, Contratapas, and (as anticipated Ryan in one of his blogs) pencils for a story, all that coming along iran 2009.

I know you’re working with Brown for editing of a miniseries Mutanimals.

Can you give us some feedback on how things are going? When will the mini-series for sale?

Things are going very well, in the process of realization. Work with Brown is very nice and let him tell you handle details of the item, just say that the implications which caused the single suggestion of the return of these people has been amazing.

When will the mini-series for sale?

That was first and is what is going slower, I can handle so much! Jajaja. Lol. The series is slowly but surely.

How did you hear about Ryan Brown? Do you know someone over the Mirage?

I met Ryan through Tristan Jones, a talented writer Mirage, Tristan got online, he was looking for a cartoonist for Cow-Boys of Moo Mesa, I sent a few pages of my work, I liked it art and began to sketch the characters, the characters, the pages … and Ryan Brown was aware of everything, make contact and work together.

Well, this is a site of the Turtles, here you go torture some questions …

Are you a fan of the ninja turtles? If so, what is your favorite ninja turtle and why?

Yes, I’m a fan of turtles since he was preferred adolescente.Mi Michelangelo! … Is the most fun, the most witty.

What do you prefer ? The old animated Turtles or the new animated Turtles? Why?

Of cartoons I like all the turtles, each has its charm, each one had its magic at the time despite the fact that over the years have changed a lot.

If you could write a story for Tales of the TMNT, what it would be history?

I am thinking of several ideas for stories Turtles, I like when mixed with the Cow-Boys … but I want a story that could face their own clones, with their own ninja skills and his own jokes!

Anything else to add, comment?

! Just only one Nacho … … Long live the turtles !!!!!!! Y…COWABUNGA! And … COWABUNGA!

Becky, thanks for answering my questions, and thanks for the picture below you did especially for this interview.
