Sherif don't like it ... Rock the CasbahWhile everyone was watching this last last night....
I was watching this....
And I have to say that it's a pretty good movie -- very cute and fun. Yesterday was Katherine's birthday and she wanted to see something that wasn't going to depress her. Luckily, she's still enjoying her birthdays -- unlike some people, who think 29 is one step from the grave. My parents, aunt and uncle, however, did watch the Passion of the Christ... They happened to also be in the same showing as Vanessa and her family. They all said that there was not one dry eye there. That it was a very powerful and moving film... enough to leave everyone speechless, except for the occasional sob, as they were leaving the theatre. I'm planning on seeing it this weekend or sometime during the week. I'll be prepared with a box of Puffs. I've spent entirely too much money this week.... Almost $200 at Wal-fart for groceries and essentials (katherine spent as much on entertainment -- DVDs, music, etc.) Finally got the Evanescence CD, which I've been listening to non-stop. Also Coldplay (A Rush of Blood to the Head), but for some reason, it won't work in my car stereo so I can't listen to it as much. Right now, though, I'm listening to the soundtrack to the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Disc 2)... this is such creepy music -- I love it! I know I haven't updated lately, but nothing much has happened. I'm still working... a lot. Still stressing and attempting to destress and ... just "chill" as much as I can. Right now my eyes are on fire because of my contacts. I decided to wear them until the blister that I got from the nosepiece on my glasses heals. I overheard at work today that Governer Rick Perry is gay and is having an affair with Secretary of State Geoff Connor ... And that he and Anita are getting a divorce because of it. Wouldn't it be funny if it were true? ![]() Photo taken by Jeffries of AustinIMC This story has been circulating the web since last week, and it's been nothing but unconfirmed rumors floating around. On comment on the Burnt Orange Report says: The homosexual aspect certainly is intriguing to the bloggers. But the original rumor was that is was a woman (his deputy chief of staff) and the Connor deal may be a diversion to keep the real story (if there is a real story) out of play. Either way, it's an interesting subject... one a newsroom staffer like me can't resist. Betty Bowers says it best: ![]() Mikey was being stupid at 3:00 AM :: |
