Innermost thoughts will be understood and you can have all you need...
I woke up to screaming and cussing today around noon time. The next door neighbor and her teenage son were going at it... Cussing back and forth at each other. She apparently caught the boy (whose mustang's constantly revving v8 engine annoys the hell out of me) and his friend doing something she really didn't approve of. I'm not sure if it was pot or what, but they were both extraordinarly pissed at each other. The fighting continued for the next two hours.

As Kat and my mom and I were leaving to go out to lunch, my dad called us up and told us to meet him at their house. When we got there, my sister Julie was sobbing in the living room. I noticed that my brother-in-law wasn't there and immediately I thought the worst. Thankfully Ryan was okay, but the truck wasn't.... Almost exactly a year ago, the couple were in a very bad wreck... today, it happened again.

They escaped with only one or two minor cuts and a little shaken up, but the truck was totaled. An 86-year-old Winter Texan decided she was going to go barreling through the busy Frontage Rd. intersection at 45 mph, right through a red light. She slammed into my sister's side of the truck.

Once it happened, onlookers rushed to the aid of the old woman (because, well, she's old). The woman got out of her car, went around to the trunk, got out her wheel chair, set it up and sat down.

My sister and brother-in-law were floored. They were both weeping uncontrollably because ... well, after everything they've been through the past year... it just sucks. And now for a repeat performance of their lowest point.

The woman has insurance and the truck will be replaced. But it doesn't make it any better. What's happened to them really sucks the confidence from their hearts. It hurts more than anything to have your hope stripped away.

This evening, I went to dinner with Rocky, Stephen and his family at Peter Piper Pizza... There were several birthday parties, including a Ninja Turtle one... They had a pinata, goody bags, and turtle masks galore... The kid got a Shell Cell, a Giant Raphael, the inflatable chair and tons of other TMNT stuff. It was fun.

While Stephen and I were playing air hockey, a kid from the party came up to us and started interfering with our game. I asked him if he could get me a mask... A minute later he came back with one for me and one for Stephen! Cute.

Thanksgiving was spent pigging out. I've never had so much damned food in my life. I feel so gluttonous. I should seriously consider bullemia.

"You can read minds?!" Just kidding.... Bullemia's a disease kids. >:O ... bleh.

I'm glad I've gotten to spend time with my friends and family and yes, even co-workers these past few days. Even if they get on my nerves for various reasons... I love em. And I don't know what I would do without them.

Friday, the Star published a column I wrote. It's my first byline for an article, and I've heard nothing but good things so far. But I know that I'll be getting blasted from the opposing side soon enough ... There's always someone who disagrees with you. I just won't let it get to me. Even if they try to make me look stupid. Sadly enough, that's the goal for many pathetic people in the world.

At any rate, my co-workers have complimented me, my entire extended family called my mom to tell me that they really enjoyed it and it sounds like I "really did the homework." Vanessa's grandmother told her that I should join the Society for Historical Preservation. Umm. I don't know about that, but maybe.
