9:30 and I still haven't gotten the information for A2 promos....
I should have found time to post these past few days. I can't really recall everything that's happened. But I'll try to sum it up... Tuesday, I woke up around 9:45 and mowed the entire back and front lawns. The job took more than 2 hours total, not including the time spent to cool off and get a drink and the trip to the gas station to refill the can. After cutting the last fluff of grass, I pushed the mower onto the sidewalk... I wasn't paying attention and I ran over the welcome mat. The mower sucked it in... the ladybug motif was shredded and caught in the blades, and after I cleared it, I tried to restart the mower... the motor revved and the blades whirled, but there was a loud "klunk klunk klunk" along with it. Genius... So anyway the yard is finally done... after who knows how long. Tuesday night I watched Queer Eye, and when they shaved the guy's face, I exclaimed, "He looks like David Bowie!" ... If you watched the episode, you'd know that the Fab 5 said the same thing numerous times later on in the show. The whole evening was spent begging Katherine to go to the movies with me. She refused and finally said that we could go after 2 on Wednesday. Wednesday, I woke up before noon and got ready... I checked a little bit of e-mail but cut short AIM conversations because I wanted to meet my sister at my mom's house for lunch and then hit the movies. When I got there, she told me that she was going to have to work until 5:30, so we'd go to then. I was a little peeved, but decided to wait it out and take my mom to the Dollar General. ::doing A2 promos:: Anyway... When we got back, Meaghan and Travis and Norma showed up. Meg asked if I could take her to gym, but I had to tell her no because I was going to the movies. When Kat showed up, she said that she had a workshop to go to until 8 o'clock, so we would have to go the movies late. By that time, I was a little more than frustrated at the whole thing. I took Meaghan to gymnastics and Travis tagged along because his mom wanted to go the store. So we didn't get to go to the movies until the late showing. We saw the Matrix and I have to say... I was disappointed. I think I would have been happier with the first one being the only Matrix film made. Thursday, I got to work and saw an e-mail from one of the tech guys.... I'm getting a new computer! Woot! My current computer is an old Compaq desktop... one that lays flat... very old thing from the late 90s. I hope I get a new one like they've got up front.... Does it ever not smell like ass in here?It smells like hard labor body odor in the newsroom today... It is not sexy or appealing in any way. I attribute it to the combination of people constantly exhaling thru their asses and those who are incessantly talking shit.
My sister and my mom are both sick with fluish like symptoms. Katherine got it from her students and my mom got it from her. Luckily, my dad is out of town or else he'd have it too. I'm usually a magnet for getting sick when others in my family are, but it hasn't hit me yet. I don't want it too, either. Last year I got sick around Thanksgiving and it stayed with me till well after New Year's. My habits are not helping me in any way, though. I'm not drinking water or juice, I went to bed after daybreak this morning and I keep (accidentally) drinking out of glasses that my mom and sister have used. Speaking of virii running rampant and the rank aroma of ass, I feel like going to the movies. I guess it's a bit of a necessity to go see the Matrix. I was a little put off by the second movie, but I keep reminiscing about seeing the original... that was a theater experience. Plus it's bad form to miss out on the end of a trilogy, especially one that had as big of an impact on the movie industry as the Matrix franchise. Wait... is Scary Movie still in theaters? I feel like going to the beach... just to go. Just to sit in the sand and bury my toes... watch the waves and listen to the gulls. Maybe I'll make the time Tuesday or Wednesday. Mikey was being stupid at 10:36 PM :: Dusk's early lightI've been awake exactly three hours... It's already dark outside. I can't believe this. I tried to change my sleeping habits and I failed miserably. Maybe tonight I'll get home early and get into bed. Of course, I'll be lying there awake for four hours until I finally fall asleep. I know it.
Well, the General has not spoken a single word to me. But I make it a point to avoid her desk whenever I'm walking around the newsroom. They're saying that the reason she was fired from her last job is because she thought she owned the place. Looks like she's doing it here too. Luckily, she didn't work yesterday and today. But tomorrow is Monday and I fear I'm going to hear something from her. I feel kind of bad because one of the photogs came over to me today and told me that Shawn really liked the page I did for the Rio Sun last week... I didn't think that guy wouldn't ever say anything nice about me behind my back. It makes me kind of regret the comment I made about him "parting the cheeks and kissing the anus..." Kind of. Your weekend is gone... mine approaches.... Hopefully it will be a productive one, unlike the past few weeks. Mikey was being stupid at 6:30 PM :: |
