Wow... It's been quite a while since I last posted huh... I wanted to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday. I had a great one too. My sisters threw me a surprise party while I was at the beach with Vanessa. They got me a TMNT cake and everything. It was fun.
The next morning I headed up to Denton where my buddy Stephen was graduating. He now has his bachelor of arts degree in Interior Design. And he's damn good at it too... you should see his portfolio. Anyway, I had a good time. Everything was nice and fun too...
Anyway, we all had a good time there. Everyone was wondering when I'm going to move up... I wanted to tell them "tomorrow" ... But I know that's not possible. I said that if things don't improve at my current workplace, then I'd make the switch.
Just a couple of days ago, my boss called me into his office and finally gave me the raise. He said he's very pleased with my work, and after the redesign takes effect (this Wednesday), the graphics dept. will be told exactly what we're going to be doing in the days to come.
I've been working long hours for the past few days... we're going to try to get the redesigned website up at the same time that the newspaper debuts its redesign. So far everything is going well... But I'm still on the look out for opportunities up north. Too many bad things are happening down here... financially.
The County called me up yesterday morning telling me that my check for my vehicle registration renewal had bounced. They sent it through twice and both times it was returned unpaid. Well, if I don't pay it within ten days, they will notify the DPS and the Harlingen PD. My sticker will be marked as stolen...
What I don't understand is how this could have happened.... I got paid on the 30th of April, I deposited at around noon that day and afterwards, I went to the tax office to pay. If they had cashed my check when they were supposed to, then there is no question that the money was in there. How could it have bounced??
Anyway, too many bad things like this are happening. All this needs to stop... now. Hopefully, it will.
