Well, one of the good things about working here is that the newsroom is located just across the street from McKelvie Park. This is where the city has regular live blues shows called "Blues on the Hill" ... People sit out on the hill and the stage is set up at the foot. That's where these cool blues bands jam out all afternoon and evening. So if you need a smoke or just some fresh air, you can go out and sit on the steps and listen to some awesome blues. Unfortunately, I don't have Saturdays off, so I can never make it to the actual performances. But you can hear just fine from those steps just outside.
So, I've gotten most of the other pages up on the site. I'll try to get the photo page up tonight. I've gotta build some thumbnails and figure out what's worth posting and what isn't. I'll try not to put anything that's too bad. I don't have a great digital camera, and it takes too long and too much money to develop and post photos from my regular 35 mm. I went to Wendy's for dinner tonight. As I pulled up to the second window, the girl who handed me the food recognized me from the last time I was there. "Ah you're the Ninja Turtle guy!" I said, "Yep!" and she said, "Well thanks! See ya!" I rolled up my window and took off. The last time I'd gone to Wendy's, I was wearing a red TMNT tee-shirt. When I handed that girl the money, she told me that she loved the Ninja Turtles, and I told her that I did too... that she should check out my website if she had the chance. I told her the url, but honestly, I didn't think she would remember it or even remember me afterwards. All of this was done with wide smiles from both of us. Okay, this is where I'm having odd thoughts. I am not remotely interested in this girl. But, was I flirting? Or was SHE flirting? Or was it all just a casual drive-thru conversation... I've never had a drive-thru conversation, so I have no idea what a casual one would be like! I guess I'm reading too much into it all. Just let me assure you, if I was flirting, it was completely unintentional. Mikey was being stupid at 10:14 PM :: Here's a survey I got off of Dawn's deadjournal ... Dark Angel will not be returning next season. There will be no season 3. While there are so many unanswered questions, I feel that the season finale directed by James Cameron did a decent job of wrapping up the short-lived. But I will miss the show very much. Without a doubt, the best thing about the show was Jessica Alba as Max. The character of Alec (played by Jensen Ackles) was just getting his footing, and provided much of the comic relief for the show. Another character I will miss dearly is Original Cindy. Probably one of the coolest characters on television.
FOX isn't my favorite network at the moment. But they still have one chance at redemption... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will get its latest television debut first quarter of 2003 (mid-season). 4kids, the company that produces Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Perfect Dark, and Nintendo cartoons, has contracted FOX to release 26 episodes of a new "back-to-their-roots" TMNT episodes. This revival includes new major merchandising and video games... which means, I need to get me an X-Box, PS2, and/or GameCube. Speaking of which, was I imagining or are they really reducing the price for the PS2 and X-Box? If only I had money! Steady job - yes... Extra cash - no... I've got credit cards, utilities, rent, car, and insurance payments to deal with. Not to mention food, personal care, and gas costs. GAH! I'm soo in it deep. But guess what... I won on Texas Lotto Wednesday night!! Yup, no foolin' ... a whole 3 BUCKS! Yep, three out of six of my numbers matched the winning numbers. That's worth three bucks. Bad news: I bought five tickets... I'm now in the hole 2 bucks instead of 5. Mikey was being stupid at 4:01 AM :: Alright! Everything looks like it's going to work out on this page! I still have to fix up the other pages, but so far, this one is done. Geesh! Last night, this whole thing was going berserko.... Nothing worked right and nothing would upload. Blogger is mighty trippy. But so far, so good. So lessee.... The Bio section is almost done. I just need to put some proper links up there. If the bio seems a little long-winded and thorough, blame my college instructors. I got the whole thing from my final project, which was done something like 2 years ago. I had to update a couple of things (like my age)... I'm pretty sure there are other things that I forgot to change, but I'll get em fixed soon enough.
