Feeling a little left out? Then take the virtual trip to San D! This web site pales in comparison to the real thing, but rest assured you'll get the scoop from one guy who was really there!

Comic Con International 2000

Day One: Thursday July 20, 2000

Arrive in San Diego, California -- 6:25 p.m.
Met Dawnatello and GreenWillow at 7:15 after our pages were interrupted by the Airport Marching Band (What a great idea, huh!), and learning that my luggage never made it from Houston.

After about a half hour standing in line to check in at my hotel, I finally received my key, and went back to Dawn's and GW's hotel to meet up with GW's son, Lia, Brinatello, Roseangelo, and Karen. We sat at the hot tub for a good couple of hours, then went up to the room. We talked for a while, and planned for Friday.

Returned to my hotel and waited for my luggage to arrive. As soon as it did, I fell into a deep coma.

Day Two: Friday July 21, 2000

Got up early the next morning and made my way to the Radisson. After meeting up with GW, Dawn, and Michael, we stopped down at the Mirage Coffee House and had a mocha.

Next, we caught the B shuttle to the Convention Center, and registered me for the con. Soon, I was inside, and overwhelmed by the vast amount of comics, cartoons, anime, toys, and people. The first thing I hit was an anime booth to buy a set of Sailor Moon figures (which are broken btw). Then, we made our way to the Heavy Metal booth to meet Kevin Eastman. There he was! I felt stupid... I didn't even introduce myself or anything... and I didn't want to sound as lame as the guy who came up and said, "Hi, Mr. Eastman. Thank you for making the Turtles." That would have just been dumb. We then took some pics with the listers and Spork and Sporkette.
