Chosen
Representative Colors: Blue (Red Originally)
Personal
Weapons: Katana Blades, Various Swords, Shuriken, Physical and
Mental Abilities
Personal
Skills: Leo is the best fighter of the TMNT. He trains intensely
both in body and mind. Because he trains so hard, he has built up
the strength to lead the TMNT whenever the sensei Splinter is unavailable.
Personal
Talents: Leo doesn't have much time for hobbies, thus he hasn't
any time to become too creative. He does play the guitar in the
TMNT Out of our Shells band. Also, he instinctively knows how to
be a leader. That's a true talent.
Character
Profile: Leonardo is the un-official leader of the TMNT. He
is the most mature and the most enlightened of the four. His studies
include Zen and other forms of mind-resolving techniques. Leo has
the closest relationship with Splinter. He is just like the sensei
was at his age. He is true to his studies and stays focused on the
task at hand. Although Leonardo is very level-headed, being a teenager,
he will sometimes say what he doesn't mean. It may appear to some
that he and Raphael do not get along. On the contrary, the two are
very close. The two disagree a lot, but still love each other very
much. Being the oldest, Leonardo feels he has to keep the team in
order when Splinter is not around. This causes tension between him
and free-spirited Raphael. All in all, the TMNT could not manage
very well without Leonardo. He is what keeps the family ties tightly
knotted.
Technical
Information: Leonardo lost his hand in a fight with a dragon
in the late Image comic series. Leonardo's weapon of choice has
always been the Katana, which is always used in a pair. In my opinion,
crippling Leonardo to the extent of not being able to fight as usual,
also cripples the TMNT as a whole. This just shows the poor writing
of the staff at Image.
Note:
The views and opinions expressed here are all mine, and should
not be taken as actual fact. These statistics are based largely
on the TMNT Archie Adventure Series. I do consider all TMNT publications
to be equally factual. This includes the Archie, Mirage, Image,
Wolf Productions, and even the Pizza Hut sponsored singing Ninja
Turtles.
