Character Profile: Donatello is perhaps
the most intelligent of the TMNT. He is skilled in mathematics,
science, and has been self-educated in many of theories based on
those two subjects. Don is a crafty inventor; he knows his way around
the lab, and the garage. His personal life has never been too involved.
He would much rather sit at home and read a good book -- mostly
non-fiction. Of the lot, Donatello may be considered the least spiritual;
however, he does stand up for what he believes in. And though he
may believe in evolution and non-linear equations, Don is quick
to defend his brother's and master's beliefs. The fact is, no one
can explain much in this universe. And all Donnie knows is that
he has seen some pretty strange things in his life, and one happens
to stare him in the face every morning in the bathroom mirror.
Technical Information: Donatello... the
science guy, the brain, the most docile of the four. How on earth
did he become a hunk of metal quick to kill with lasers and bullets
rather than the honorable methods of self defense that his master
taught him? Oh yeah, once again Image Comics mangled a TMNT character.
Quite literally. They blew off Donnie's shell, beat him to a bloody
pulp, and riddled him with bullet holes. Since the cyborg that did
this to him was close to death as well, the metal took control of
Don's body, turning him into one mean Mofo!
Note: The views and opinions expressed
here are all mine, and should not be taken as actual fact. These
statistics are based largely on the TMNT Archie Adventure Series.
I do consider all TMNT publications to be equally factual. This
includes the Archie, Mirage, Image, Wolf Productions, and even the
Pizza Hut sponsored singing Ninja Turtles.
